Atlanta IT questions, plainly answered
What owners and office managers in Midtown, Downtown and across the city ask us most.
What is managed IT, in plain terms?
You hand day-to-day care of your technology to an outside team on a monthly agreement. They support users, maintain and secure the systems and keep backups working, instead of billing you per repair.
Which Atlanta neighborhoods do you cover?
The whole city, including Downtown, Midtown, West Midtown, Old Fourth Ward, Atlantic Station, Inman Park, Castleberry Hill, Grant Park, the Westside and Buckhead. On-site trips start from Alpharetta.
If we reach out, when will we hear back?
Within one business day, from a senior engineer. Existing clients have response targets by priority set in their contract, and the typical ticket is fixed remotely.
What does it cost?
Your number comes from three things: users, devices and the services you pick. We put a flat monthly figure in writing after the review. Larger jobs, like a relocation, get their own quote first.
Is there a long lock-in?
We go over term length and exit terms line by line before anything is signed. Clients should stay because they're happy, and we write agreements with that in mind.
Our building only has one internet provider. What can we do?
We check what is actually available at your address, including fixed wireless and cellular options that don't need new cabling, and set up your firewall to fail over automatically if the main line drops.
Can you help us choose a new office?
Yes. Before you sign a lease, we can check which carriers serve the building, how long installs take, where the network closet would go and whether an older building will need new cabling.
We're a law firm. What do you focus on?
Protecting client confidentiality and stopping wire fraud come first: MFA, email security, payment verification policies and document management that is properly backed up. We also schedule changes around court deadlines.
We have one IT employee. Do we still need you?
Often, yes, as the backup and the specialists. In that setup your staffer handles walk-up requests while we cover monitoring, security, backups and big projects, with a written split of duties.
Ransomware just hit. What do you do?
Disconnect the infected machines, scope the damage, recover from backups the attackers couldn't reach, and support you through calls to your carrier, bank and anyone whose data may be involved.
See where your IT stands before the next surprise
A review shows how your support, security and backups hold up today, written for owners rather than engineers. It costs you about an hour, and the report is yours whether or not we work together.
